Mayhem offers an Airsoft experience for players interested in playing more regularly or just looking for an unforgettable day out.

8th January 2023, we visited Mayhem Airsoft which was also a site for paintball and laser. On arrival, we made our way to the safe zone which was large with many benches. On booking in, we were informed barrel socks were needed and could buy or borrow one. Marshals told us when chrono was open and then we had a short safety brief. 

The site was sectioned into different arenas of play and the morning consisted of using one area but changing objectives. I came across non-hit taking and told a marshal who said ‘yeah, that happens to me sometimes.’ And proceeded to stand stationary. The marshal, who was watching me hit players and not take it, should’ve acted towards this. There was also confusion and raised voices when the marshals informed both teams that they were swapping the game around but changed the location of one teams respawn without telling the other so shooting into the other teams respawn happened but they weren’t made aware this was their respawn.

I asked if there was any food for lunch and told there’s a café a short drive down the road. The head marshal was conscious of the weather as it was forecasted to rain in the afternoon. With this in mind and their new CQB Kill house near finished, they decided to have gameplay inside for the afternoon. This was an issue as myself and two others I was with, only had snipers and DMRs. CQB wasn’t a game style we liked to play. 

We made the decision to leave at lunch due to the lack of marshalling, communication during games and with it being CQB in the afternoon. 

Due to the site being a couple of hours from me and the day not being enjoyable, I wont be heading back.
